Abstract
In this case study we describe the creation, implementation, and outcome of an interactive and reflective series of virtual programs based in both the academic library and the Writing Center. We believe that discussions about social justice, the arts, and global citizenship belong in academic library programming because they are inherently valuable and part of developing literacies and because they are also critical to fostering community and safe spaces for students amidst immense external pressures and being spread out across the globe. We share lessons learned from the series and how we can use these ideas, event formats, and digital tools to create an inclusive events program moving forward through and after the pandemic.
