Abstract
The Ten Essential Services of Public Health offer a framework for developing and analyzing academic community partnerships. This manuscript will identify how the Ten Essential Services provided this framework for implementation and analysis of a partnership between an academic institution and a Native American community in order to meet identified public health needs. A reflective analysis was completed using the ten essential services that identified lessons learned from the partnership. These lessons learned provide an exemplar for identifying and addressing the public health needs of the Native American community through an academic-community partnership model. A thorough discussion of the lessons learned and the partnership model will be discussed as a framework for addressing public health needs in a Native community.
