Abstract
In addition to studying and writing about Bible translations, I have another scholarly passion: religion, especially Jews and Judaism, in popular culture, especially in comic strips. I could make the case that this is another example of “translation”: here from the primarily textual to the primarily visual. I could also make the case, as with Bible translations, that comic strips are for me a source of enjoyment and, yes, education—features I wish to share through writing and speaking.
