Cranial dural arteriovenous fistulas frequently present as diagnostic and treatment dilemmas for cerebrovascular specialists. Located in potentially any dural surface of the cranium, treatment decisions are based on both angiographic and anatomic constraints. We introduce important concepts regarding these lesions in this chapter, with particular focus on risk stratification, management pathways, and treatment strategies.
