Abstract
This chapter describes some of the specialized dosage forms and drug delivery systems that are currently in use and in various stages of the drug approval process. Some of the specialized dosage forms described here include parenteral, osmotic, nanodelivery, liposome, magnetic, implantable, and prodrugs. Advantages, disadvantages, and clinical examples, if available in the market, are included and discussed.
