Abstract
In surveying the influence of the concept of original sin in Western culture, from its first detailed explanations by Augustine through modern times, Boyce (honorary research associate, Univ. of Tasmania, Australia) does not limit his story to theology, though he offers an appropriate amount of this historical narrative.
