Russell (ancient history, John Jay College, CUNY) uses insights from spatial studies to construct more sophisticated understandings of the varied relationships between biblical monarchs and "their" lands. The theoretical underpinnings of spatial studies orient the reading of both extrabiblical texts and biblically related archaeological discoveries. The results are impressive.
