Abstract
Successful program assessment requires basic understanding of why assessment is important and how it can be done to answer important questions about student learning. Assessment of student learning happens all the time; however, educators are not always equipped with the right tools to link their individual efforts with broader programmatic goals. To facilitate this connection, a committee comprised of staff members tasked with supporting annual assessment reporting in their respective schools and departments and a Teaching and Learning Center Faculty Fellow developed a user-friendly template for faculty and staff to enter data used in annual Taskstream reporting. The tool corresponds with Taskstream, the software used by Creighton University for assessment reporting. The committee (Amanda Guidero, Sarah Oliver, Taunya Plater, Ronette Bruner, and Lydia Holtz) viewed and gave feedback on several iterations over the summer.
