Abstract
BACKGROUND|Distance students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program have the option to view lecture capture videos asynchronously or to synchronously livestream class as it is occurring on campus. An increasing number of students are choosing to livestream, but the current setup does not allow for synchronous communication with their instructors during the lecture. This pilot project assessed four communication tools which allowed distance students to ask questions while watching livestreamed lectures online.
