Abstract
The Department of Residence Life has identified eight (8) student staff competencies that are specific learning outcomes from participation in our training efforts, and from experiences in the varied student staff roles. Throughout the 2014-15 academic year and across all training efforts, the department provided experiences related to these competencies then measured, through surveys and evaluative observation, the success of these efforts in increasing the level of staff competency.|Results of this assessment effort helped the department to better align training efforts and learning outcomes across the training sequence (a new staff course, all-staff fall training, semesterly In-Service efforts, and winter training) for the 2015-16 academic year.
