Abstract
Background:|To accommodate more individuals in a changing student population, distance education has been on the rise at the postsecondary level.|71% of academic leaders believe student learning outcomes in online education are the same or superior to outcomes in traditional education, an increase from only 57% in 2012.|Research literature concerning student learning outcomes in hybrid programs in health professions is limited.|This study expands upon a recent study by Mu, Coppard, Bracciano, and Bradberry (2014) which revealed no significant differences on most graduate outcomes. |The current study includes an increased sample size, an additional hybrid pathway, and examination of professional behavior and communication outcomes. Additionally, a revised curriculum was implemented since the 2014 study.
