Abstract
Background:| To emphasize health careers among Omaha’s urban high school students, representatives from several of Creighton University’s health sciences programs developed and implemented youth-oriented healtheducation, interactive health fairs. The goals of this project were to: 1) heighten awareness among high school students of career options, particularly in healthcare professions; and 2) improve knowledge and skills needed to pursue a goal of becoming a future health professional. Findings will help shape the future direction of this program and to use this program as a model which can be expanded to other schools.
