BACKGROUND|Pharmacotherapy courses require students to obtain content knowledge and then apply that knowledge to increasingly complex patients.|To help students better connect attainment of knowledge to practical clinical application, an extracurricular, noncredit course was developed using cognitive psychology learning principles to promote learning and retention.
