Abstract
New educational technologies such as online learning, distance technologies and simulation approaches are overcoming traditional barriers to interprofessional learning related to time and space (Weinstein et al., 2010). The use of these learning technologies can help model the real world of practice, especially in communities, where teamwork often happens asynchronously across time and space. Creighton’s Center for Interprofessional Practice, Education and Research (CIPER) partnered with the University’s eLearning Team for the development of an Interprofessional Education (IPE) IPE Passport site. This site was designed by using the University’s learning management system (LMS), BlueLine, to educate, track and assess asynchronous/asynchronous community based interprofessional learning activities.
