Abstract
In this panel presentation, we shared facts, data, and research around the importance of mentorship and personal experiences through mentor programs. From career support and sharpening skills to spiritual conversations and personal advice, mentorship can look different based on individual mentee needs. The presenters (as leaders and participants of the Association of Christian Librarians' Mentoring Program) discussed expectations, time commitment, and qualifications, as well as what mentorship is NOT. Panel members have been involved in various mentoring programs in varying capacities, providing balanced viewpoints and different angles on this topic. There relationships can be deeply impactful for a season or can lead to lifelong friendship.
