Abstract

Information Literacy Instruction Interactive Learning

Dynamic audience participation tools abound to boost active learning opportunities for participants. Research demonstrates how active learning improves learning outcomes, critical thinking, and knowledge retention in participants. This presentation examines several of the tools (Mentimeter, Vevox, Pear Deck, and Slido) and provides insight into how they can be employed in one-shot instruction sessions within STEM undergraduate courses.
