Abstract
In this paper we discuss the creation of an information model within a framework that involves the use of a computer simulated 3D virtual reality environment for micro surgery training contexts. The information model is created using the Engineering Enterprise Modeling Language (eEML). The information model drives the simulation of the microsurgical activities. Any changes in the information model would be reflected in the functioning of the virtual environment. As the environment is further developed, the practicing surgeons can use this environment for practicing their skills and evaluating their performance.
