Abstract
We appreciate your interest in the Data Analytics, Data Mining, and Machine Learning for Social Media minitrack. This year, the nine selected research papers in this minitrack cover a diverse set of platforms and contexts. Platforms include X (formerly Twitter), Twitch, YouTube, Reddit, along with more niche platforms for crowdfunding and enterprise collaboration. Contexts cover an extremely broad range from entertainment through esports to opinions on war. Many of the papers wrestle with complicated societal concerns, including misinformation, privacy, and echo chambers. All the selected papers perform textual data analysis and include classification techniques. Several papers were not accepted to this year's minitrack, but they also reflected the rich stream of research produced in this area. We appreciate the opportunity to continue being part of this community, and are most grateful for the contributions of the scholars who publish their social media research in this and other minitracks.
