Abstract
Understanding how age impacts individual decision-making behavior has piqued the interest of researchers and practitioners. While numerous neuroscience, emotional, motivational, and cognitive experts have explored how older adults behave relative to younger adults, their studies have yielded mixed results. PGA Tour players provide a unique setting to test experienced participants competing for large prizes in a competitive environment. In the study, I find these players exhibit risk-seeking behavior in losses and risk-averse behavior in gains. However, age did not significantly affect players' risk-seeking or risk aversion behaviors.
