Abstract

The need for adequate direction in modern art education is urgent particularly in the elementary schools where teacher preparation in art is generally in inverse ratio to the demand for art. A functioning art program in any school is reflected in the lives of the boys and girls who work, play, and share experiences there. Moreover, in any community, large or small, art education is a cooperative enterprise in which the supervisor, the principal, and the teacher should share.
