Abstract
This experiment purports to discover whether or not the teaching of a directed course in ideals, principles, and desirable character traits to high school seniors results in better integration of personality, which is evidenced by improved self and social adjustment.|Personality as used in this thesis means all that an individual is and all that he strives to become.|"It includes, therefore, the body with its charm or lack of it, the mental powers of intelligence, imagination, and will, the emotional makeup, the impulses, tendencies, aspirations, habits, and attitudes which an individual has either inherited or formed through experience. Briefly, the personality embodies all the factors which a man externalizes in his behavior and makes manifest to others."|An integrated personality is one in which intellect, will, and emotions are co-ordinated and work as a unit. An integrated personality exhibits self-mastery and self-control in all the circumstances of life. One who achieves this balance in his personality will have achieved adjustment.
