Abstract
One or the major problems of the schools of our country is the revision of the curriculum. The educational institutions must keep abreast with the changing social order; they must provide adequate training for effective participation in our American democracy.|The curriculum is more than the minimum essentials of selection of texts, instruction in the classroom, the printed course of study, and the various aids or devices of education, it embraces all the experiences which pupils have while under the direction of the school; thus defined it includes both classroom and extra-classroom activities. It is the process of focusing the pupil so to speak in the center of the school, community, and home activities which influence the development of a well-rounded individual.
