Abstract
I have selected this topic because of the much publicized current press releases regarding the competition for the public's dollar in the form of savings. In this study it was my intention to find out where the sources of funds lie, the newest trends in funds flow, and what major characteristics could be learned about the Omaha savings market. It is hoped that the people and institutions in the Omaha metropolitan area who are interested in this area might promote further research along these lines and cooperate with those researchers working in this field.|I do wish to extend my sincere thanks to the Omaha financial institutions and industries whose cooperation and participation in this study was most helpful.
