Abstract
The cultural advantages available in the Middle West at the turn of the century have been ignored by many analysts who have endeavored to trace the influence of society upon contemporary leaders.|This account of the youth and early maturity of Howard Haneon has been written in the hope that the Central States will receive recognition, in the future, for their contribution to the artistic development of America.
