Abstract
One of the important problems that has been facing the schools of the country is the formation and standardization of curricula in all schools to take care of transfer pupils without loss of time and credits. The problem becomes even more complex when pupils transfer in the middle of a semester rather than at the beginning of the term. It is also evident that the smaller the school, to which the transfer has been made, the more difficult it is to arrange a suitable curriculum for the student. In the larger schools where a great variety of subjects are offered the problem becomes less difficult to solve. In the small schools however, where teaching facilities, faculties, building room, and the student body are all limited, the problem becomes increasingly difficult as the size of the school decreases.|The purpose of this thesis is an attempt to standardize the high school curricula for Pottawattamie county Iowa, and thereby solve the problems Involved in the transfer of pupils.
