Abstract
Within the past few years numerous studies have been made concerning student-teacher relationships. However, a majority of these studies have been concerned primarily with the attitude of the teacher toward the student’s behavior rather than with the attitude of the student toward the various factors of the classroom including the teacher and her teaching procedures. | Nearly every adult has fond memories of teachers he admired. He also knows why he admires them and in what ways they have influenced him. In the past few years a number of studies, notably that of witty in his Radio Quiz, have appeared, proving that adults do not easily forget the teacher influence of their earlier years. This is welcome and satisfying compensation for the teacher’s often seeming unrequited effort. | On the other side of the picture, we have presented to our view the possibility of the contrasting segment; The unpleasant memories that many adults retain of one or more among their teachers.
