This is an edition of the letters of Elizabeth Bowen that spans from 1939-1945. It is meant to establish Elizabeth Bowen as a historic and literary figure by way of her own correspondence, allowing the reader to glean what he or she can from Bowen’s personal writings to learn more about this enigmatic literary figure.
