Abstract
"Big business," the product of the 20th century, has grown with the aid of inventive genius from a small beginning to its present overwhelming power. By that growth it has changed man's manner of work, his choice of recreation, his way of thinking. The spirit of business has permeated every field of activity until today it dominates American living.|Our educational policy has not escaped the influence of commercial interests.|The present study aims to serve a two-fold purpose. It presents evidence that there is a definite need for a non-vooational commercial course in the rural high school and then proceeds to suggest content matter for such a course.
