Abstract

United States--History
The Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933 marks a revolutionary change in American agriculture. For the first time the American farmer accepted the Federal Government as a regulating agency. He recognized the need for federal assistance as a necessary means to a more equitable share of the national wealth. In so doing, he surrendered his time-honored commitment to the principles of individualism in economics.
