[...]the needle was flushed with 10mL of sterile saline into research container B. Metal stylet was reinserted and needle returned to operator. Interestingly, all remaining nonmalignant biopsies had some cell (lymphocytes/epithelial cells etc.) in container A. Conclusion: Our study provides rationale for current sequential approach of mediastinal lymph node sampling.
