Abstract
Introduction Non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) may present with concurrent mediastinal and/or hilar lymphadenopathy on imaging. Because of prognostic and therapeutic implications, it is crucial to distinguish metastatic lymphadenopathy from benign causes. Other lymph nodes were negative for malignancy. [...]in the absence of metastases to the lymph nodes, the patient's cancer was staged as stage I NSCLC with no further adjuvant therapy necessary.
