Abstract
Cancer therapeutics has been growing in an unprecedented fashion and has evolved rapidly in the past two decades. Specific gene mutation, protein dysfunction and dysregulation, intracellular signaling pathways, and immune modulation have been targeted. These therapeutic advances came largely because of improved understanding of the pathobiology of cancer at the genetic and molecular levels. This article addresses the need of novice nurses for cancer treatment related information and evidence -based nursing care of patients diagnosed with cancer while undergoing novel and breakthrough therapeutics.
