Abstract
The production of coherent ρ0 in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions was discussed. The ρ0 were produced at small transverse momentum which showed the coherent coupling to both nuclei. The measurements of coherent ρ0 production with and without accompanying nuclear excitation AuAu → Au*Au*ρ0 and AuAu → AuAuρ0 demonstrated the existence of vector meson production in ultra-peripheral heavy-ion collision.
