Abstract
This is the third Survey from the Corporate Compliance Committee. This Survey summarizes significant legal developments from the last year regarding corporate compliance and ethics programs, which consist of an organization's code(s) of conduct, policies, and procedures designed to achieve compliance with applicable legal regulations and internal ethical standards. For an overview and introduction to the subject, as well as updates from prior years, please see our first two Surveys. This update assumes familiarity with much of the background and overview discussed there.
Part I reviews developments regarding the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines for the sentencing of organizations; Part II reviews significant state and federal regulatory developments; and Part III reviews significant state and federal case law developments.
