Abstract

creatine kinase methylprednisolone clinical study drug blood level drug therapy heart infarction heart ventricle arrhythmia intravenous drug administration major clinical study plasma therapy Adult Aged Arrhythmia Female Heart Ventricle Hemodynamics Human Male Middle Age Myocardial Infarction Support, U.S. Gov't, P.H.S.
Results of the present study suggest that methylprednisolone, 30 mg/kg, administered in multiple doses beginning 7 hours after the initial plasma CPK elevation, is deleterious in patients with acute myocardial infarction and leads to an increased infarct size and an increased incidence and persistence of malignant ventricular dysrhythmia.
