Abstract
Piroxicam β-cyclodextrine (PBCD) is a novel pharmaceutical form of piroxicam. The present paper describe simple, fast, accurate and sensitive RP-HPLC method for the assay of piroxicam β-cyclodextrine (PBCD) from its marketed tablet formulations on Elow finepak C18-5 column using Acetonitrile : Water : Orthophosphoric acid (45 : 55 : 0.2 v/v) as mobile phase. The optimum chromatographic conditions for their determination are described. The detection was made at 356 nm and method has been evaluated statistically for its sensitivity, accuracy and precision.
