Abstract
Chiwengo examines issues of knowledge, identity, exile, and immigration in various works by South African novelist Peter Abrahams. Abrahams' literary oeuvre, centered on the teleological becoming of Black subjectivity, thus projects both his physical and metaphorical displacement and his perpetual search and desire for home.
