Abstract
This innovative program was designed to explore the value of daily utilization of the Nursing Leadership Mission Critical Checklist (c) for nursing leadership students. The tool is designed to assist leaders in staying focused on essential elements of role responsibility. Results of this pilot educational project suggest use of the checklist did not change perceptions of stress or self-esteem among the participants in this small educational project. However, from daily use of the tool, 3 themes emerged from analysis of these data. The themes were usefulness of the tool for reflection, reframing mindset, and building relationships.
