Abstract
Osteosarcoma is a common primary bone malignancy that frequently metastasizes, although timely initiation of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation are vital in improving outcomes and survival. Delays in initiation of therapy after diagnosis have been associated with worse outcomes in other cancer types, but factors contributing to treatment delays in high‐grade osteosarcoma have not been fully explored. Our study reveals that older age, certain tumor locations, Black race, and Hispanic ethnicity are significantly associated with treatment delays greater than 1 month, thus underscoring the need for more timely and equitable cancer care for these populations.
