Abstract
Nutritional support is an important topic when taking care of critically ill, trauma, emergency general surgery, and chronically malnourished patients. There are multiple different approaches, including nonsurgical and surgical enteral access and total parenteral nutrition. These approaches should be tailored to the patient scenario you are presented with. The most common complications of parenteral nutrition are related to the central line required to administer it. The most common tube complication is displacement. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
