Abstract

Collaboration Competencies Interprofessional Nursing process Nursing role Genomics
Interprofessional collaboration in health care has the potential to lower costs, improve patient care and perceived quality of care, and expedite delivery of patient information. Interprofessional teams may be particularly important when new information and technology, such as genetics and genomics, are integrated into patient care. Genomics impacts the care of all patients and must be brought to the bedside to improve health outcomes.
