Abstract
Series of experiment for the production and testing of ozone were done in a laboratory session with simple equipment and materials. The rate and quantity of ozone produced were analyzed by bubbling it through a solution containing I- ions. I3
- ions that react with a standardized solution of S2O3 -2 to a colorless endpoint were produced. The rate of ozone production was found to be 7.85X10-7 mol/min. The rate of all gases produced was 7.6 mL/min. Among the gases produced, ozone constituted 0.25%.
