Abstract
Advances in genomic technologies and DNA sequencing are revolutionizing healthcare. As the largest group of healthcare professionals, nurses play a key role in supporting genomics-informed care and precision healthcare. This article examines the knowledge and competencies necessary for quality integration of genomics into nursing practice. It also explores available educational resources to enhance genomic literacy and features a case study describing genomics-informed nursing across the nursing process.
