Abstract
Chemistry teachers are usually using the photograph of liquid oxygen suspended between the poles of a large magnet found in chemistry books as a form of demonstration to their students. This article shows how soap bubbles of oxygen gas are attracted to a 1800 gauss magnet and how to perform a microscale demonstration of the paramagnetic behavior of a 60 mg liquid oxygen.
