Abstract
X ray studies by intravenous pyelography, skeletal survey, and barium enema did not demonstrate metastatic or extensive disease in early untreated epidermoid carcinoma of the cervix uteri and did not alter the clinical staging in any patient. The justification for the routine use of these studies lies in furnishing a thorough evaluation of the patient with untreated or recurrent cancer, who may have to undergo radical therapy, and to furnish base lines for objective follow up study of the response to treatment.
