Abstract

Context: Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a manual therapy often used to correct pelvic malalignment where the patient voluntary contracts specific muscles against resistance produced by the clinician. Studies regarding magnitude and duration of effectiveness are limited. Objective: To determine MET effectiveness on subjects with acute low back pain (LBP) localized to the sacroiliac (SI)joint.
