Abstract
Background In the US, more than 350, 000 people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) per year with an incidence of 147.7 per 100, 000 population. Methods We performed retrospective data analysis of all OHCA that occurred in the last nine years in Shreveport, LA and reviewed the different types of cardiac arrests, initial rhythm types, return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) and survival at hospital discharge.
