Abstract
Hawkins explores the world views which grounded the politics analyses and judgments of the French fascist intellectual Pierre Drieu la Rochelle. There are two world views discernible in Drieu's writings: a deterministic perspective in which human action is subordinated to the laws of nature, and an aleatory version which allows scope for creative action by exceptional individuals.
