Abstract
Millions of Americans suffer from dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. These may be seen as primarily cosmetic disorders, but there can be considerable embarassment associated with them. A wide variety of effective nonprescription products, especially shampoos, are available for treatment. For most patients, control can be obtained in as little as 2 weeks of use with follow-up applications every 1 to 2 weeks thereafter. Side effects are extremely minimal.
