This program has affected the lives of participants, communities, and families across cultures and backgrounds. Over 105 participants have experienced the life and culture of the Dominican people and have assisted in educating and testing over 1,500 functional filters in rural communities. These filters provide potable water for over 7,000 people. Filters can continue to provide safe drinking water for several years. The knowledge gained by all will last a lifetime.
